10:00am Until Complete
CityPlex Towers Parking Lot at 81st
Eagle District is sponsoring a district-wide Cub Mobile
Race on Saturday, April 21, 2007. The races will begin at 10:00am and
run through the day until all racers have raced. A team of up to six
scouts can enter one car. Two teams can share a car, but this must be
indicated on your registration form. Each team will build its own cubmobile.
The event is open to all scouts: Tigers, Wolves, Bears
or Webelos. Each team will be given 6 race cards. It will be up to the
team to determine who races each time. An entry fee of $30 per team is
required and due to the Scout Office by April 17, 2007.
PRE-QUALIFYING CAR
CHANGE!
Every team must bring their car to the Citiplex Towers NE
Parking lot between 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 14th to be
qualified for safety. Racers may practice on the hill at this time
if they wish. If you can't make it at this time, please call
850-6326 to make special arrangements to be pre-qualified before the
race day.
Every
racer will receive a participation ribbon or badge, and trophies will be
handed out for 1 st,
2nd,
and 3rd
fastest (team average). Trophies will also
be awarded for best paint job, most unique design and best
representation of the theme. There will also be an emcee’s choice award.
Our theme is AMERICAN
HEROES. Each car should try to represent the theme in some way.
Due to the instability of cars in last
year’s race, we are re-implementing the basic Cub
Scout rules for building a cub car.

plan.
As we did last year, there will be other activities for
the boys and their families to participate in: face painting, air rides,
special demonstrations and an overall service project. To complement our
theme, we are asking that each team generate
donations for the
Blue Star Mothers.
We will have a receptacle for each team and people can donate to the
Blue Star Mothers in honor of their favorite racing team. A special
award will be given out to the team who raised the most for our soldiers
overseas.
